21 weeks and 5 days

i know its not the greatest of scans, but besides a very active baby, i also didn't drink enough water =( but all is well and healthy. their dates for the due date haven't changed, still measuring right for june 4th. for awhile the baby wouldn't take his/her hand away from their face, as if to say no pictures please! it was fun to watch and we saw most everything. the lady doing the scan was very sweet and kept calling the baby sweet pea and pumpkin and so forth!

photos from this month

Micah

Since I wrote about Noah last time, this one will be about Micah! He is full of energy though he often times just wants to lay down on the couch with a blanket. But you have to sit with him =( He got lots of games for christmas and likes to play with them: tumblin monkeys (the favourite), manic martians, lucky ducks, and go fish. He still likes his cars and balls, especially the bouncy ball at the moment. He can't wait for spring I'm sure to get outside and play cricket and baseball...anything with a bat and ball!

We have just recently been able to get Micah to pooh on the toilet. Finally!! He's been asking for a nappy when it was time which was fine, but now its even better! He doesn't like poohing and so tries to hold it in and does a dance a few times before finally agreeing to sit on the toilet. Tonight after asking him all day, I promised to buy him the Postman Pat toys that he saw just today at Sainsbury's. So we'll be going tomorrow to get them =) Its a big box of different characters and stuff so he gets 2 things, then 2 more the next time he poohs on the toilet! Oh the joys right? Thankfully we never had to bribe him to pee in the toilet, that came much easier! And also thankfully, he hardly ever has an accident and has even gone through the night a few times completely dry!

He is talking away, adding new words all the time. Singing sometimes, the few songs that he knows well. (wind the bobbin up, twinkle twinkle, jesus loves me, deep and wide, and row row row your boat.)

that's all i can think of at the moment...and i'll be adding some photos tonight =)

Noah

For awhile now, Noah has been obsessed with his socks. putting them on, taking them off, then putting them back on again. if he has socks on and see some other socks, he takes off his socks and brings the new ones to me or andy to put on him. he can't put them on himself so its up to us. well we *never* ever have matching for the boys in this house anyway, so it doesn't much matter =) but there are the times we go to treasure island, a soft play area where you have to take your shoes off and here are my 2 boys with mismatched socks...although i can truthfully say that they do pick out their own socks so thats partly why they don't match...right?!

These last few days, Noah has added on to his socks obsession with a getting dressed/undressed obsession! its usually in the mornings when he is still in jammies, then tries to put them back on. thankfully most of the time he has on a vest (bodysuit) but sometimes if there is no vest then off comes the diaper too...what fun! Whats really funny is to see him trying to put on his clothes again. sometimes the next of the shirt is mysteriously around his waist as if he pulled the shirt on like trousers...

Still no words from Noah. he is 19 months now very vocal and loud, but no words. should i be worried yet?

for all those who asked..

Peanut Butter Balls: (for mandy and mandy)

INGREDIENTS
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
4 cups confectioners' sugar
3 cups crisp rice cereal
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS
Melt peanut butter and butter in saucepan, over low heat. In large bowl, mix crispy rice cereal and confectioners' sugar well. Pour melted peanut butter and butter over cereal and sugar and blend together thoroughly.
Form into 1 inch or smaller balls, spread on cookie sheets, chill till firm in refrigerator (over night is okay).
Melt chocolate in double boiler and keep melted while working with balls. A teaspoon is best to use in dipping the balls in chocolate. Dip good and place on cookie sheet. As you dip them place them back on cookie sheet and keep chilled till firm.

Enjoy =)
