i also forgot to mention that we now officially own the whole of our house! when we first bought our house 5 years ago, it was on a shared ownership scheme. we bought half the house and rented the other half from the housing association. finally we got around to realizing that buying the rest of the house would save us money and besides our 5 year fixed rate with the morgage lenders was coming to a close. so hurray! we can do what we want now!!
