time is flying!

i can't believe that it is thursday night already!! that is so crazy!! we have had a great week so far!! i'm sorry for the lack of photos but my parents computer wasn't letting me load any on and it takes so long, that i don't have the patience!
we had family here through tuesday night, so we had a day at the railroad in strasburg, PA which micah and pheonix loved! then tueday was rainy so we went to the mall where they had a play area and did a bit of shopping!
wednesday was my mom's last free day so we went downtown to another train place, but just looked as it was expensive!! then had a wander around town and lunch at johnny rocket's! it was delicious!!!
wednesday night we went over to my old college roomates house! heidi lives about 40 minutes away and then we went over to marissa's who was my suitemate...it was so good to see them again! its been so long!!
today we went out to breakfast at bob evans then shopping in the afternoon! i got new shoes (tennis type shoes), a winter coat and some other clothes. and books!! we went to the christian bookstore and bought some books and cd's!! everything is soooo much cheaper here its amazing!!!
well tomorrow morning, we are off to tennessee! i can't wait to see my college and all the changes that have taken place! i'll write when i come back! promise!!! have a good weekend everyone!!

dinner rehersal and wedding

Thursday we had the dinner rehersal for my brothers wedding. We got to the top of the bay and it was a chilly evening! The wedding was going to be outside and it was definitely on the chilly side! Micah ran around with Wilson, who is the brides nephew. He is 6 and adorable! Micah, Wilson and Kelly’s other nephew TJ were going to walk down the aisle as the ring bearers…I was a bit skeptical, but micah seemed like he’d follow Wilson anywhere! On the ride to the dinner, micah fell asleep and ended up sleeping through the whole dinner and through the night till 4;30 Friday morning!! It was great! Noah slept through the dinner too, so our hands were free!
Friday we went over to the hotel where we were all going to be staying as it was close to the wedding site and got ready there. My aunt cathy did my hair as I wasn’t sure where or how to wear my feather thing!! But she managed and it was great!!! I really liked it!
Micah walked down the aisle after Wilson and tj, I’m not sure what happened, but he just followed them down, looking all around but walking down all the same! So he made it down all the same! It was great and they were all so cute in their tuxes!!

The ceremony was nice and short, and it was cold though no breeze was blowing! Then pictures then to the reception. There was a chocolate fountain which was wonderful, great seafood and free drinks! Before the meal, andy and I got up and first said the irish blessing that most know…’may the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at you back, may the sunshine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may god hold you in the hollow of his hand.’ and then I read another one, then andy prayed for the food. It was interesting and nice.

I was embarrassed watching my parents dance since I have hardly ever seen them dance! It was nice to see my brother dance with keira, who is Kelly’s daughter from a previous relationship. And really it was just nice to see my big brother married!!!

sorry for late entry

our flights on wednesday went really well!!
well first we had to walk to the train station which was a 10 minute walk, then the train to victoria station where we got onto the underground. we had to change once to another underground line which took us straight to heathrow! noah soaked through his diaper then dirtied it and it came through! so once at the airport we had to strip noah and change him completely. then andy and i were so hot that we changed clothes too!!
first flight was 2 hours 20 minutes to iceland then a 6 hour flight to baltimore. micah fell asleep at heathrow about 30 minutes before the flight. we carried him to the gates then woke up as we were boarding. the flight was delayed a wee bit, but was fine...

the second flight he fell asleep on take-off and slept the entire 6 hours! couldn't believe it!!! we were able to spread out as the flight wasn't full! it was great! we both, (andy and i) were able to sleep for a little while each so that was a little bit of a relief as we were so tired!!

just so glad to be here!!

right now i wish i was mary poppins and could just snap my fingers and have the clothes fly into the suitcases!!! i finally have my whole outfit for jeremy's wedding! instead of wearing a hat, my mom and i are wearing those feather things in our hair! scary!!! will have to have my aunts play with my hair as i have no clue as to what to do with it!!! its attached to a comb, so i have to have atleast part of me hair up right?? oh dear! this shall be fun!
well i should go! i have sooo much to do! but i just want to sit here with micah and watch 'ditz' aka, jungle book!!

this is from treasure island on thursday. that is my friend clare who worked with me at gap, we were expecting at the same time, with her due a week before me, but as it turned out, micah was almost 3 weeks early and her little girl charlie was over a week late! so that are almost a month apart!! (that's her little girl charlie and she is holding noah!)

saturday at lunchtime i had my apron on so micah wanted one on too! so this is andy's aprong that doesn't get much wear out of it!!

we've had an uneventful weekend really. didn't get as much packing done as we had planned, but it was good anyway!! we did get out saturday afternoon to get our very first microwave!! yes...after 5 years of being married we finally got one! its really an early christmas present from andys mum and dad! so thank-you mum and dad!!!

heres noah on his 4month birthday!! he is weighing in at 14lbs10and1/2 ounces!! and i think he was 2ft1inch maybe?? he is smiling a lot, talking loads and eating lots too, especially in the late afternoon/evening hours! he was sleeping great for us, but has all of a sudden started waking up, more than once in the night! not enjoying that part of it =( but he is lovely and i know mimi and pop-pop can't wait to see him and all the other family folks can't wait to meet him too!!!

a cold...

i have a cold! a yucky full blown cold! i hate it! i despise having to blow my nose every few minutes!! its awful!



but in the course of everything else, i'll survive! why? because we are GOING HOME in 5 days time and cannot wait!!!!! while i feel really unprepared at the moment, i don't care! its been way too long!its been 22 months since we have set foot in the states...way too long! but since we try to share holidays with andys family, its pretty hard!! we should have gone this past easter but i was 7 months pregnant with noah! so we couldn't really and i'm sure that i wouldn't have lasted comfortably for a 7+ hour flight!!



these are more photos from warwick if anyone is wondering! this is andy and his dad =) we are calling them granny and grandpa, but at the moment, they are mimi and pop-pop, which is what my mom and dad are. oh well, untill we can differenciate i guess its ok!!!my mom has been out buying stuff and borrowing loads of stuff from friends at work and church for micah and noah to have when they are there. there is already a bed for micah that they've had, but we needed something for noah. and car seats for both of them and mom even borrowed a stroller for noah! she went to a yard sale at the senior center and got some toys and dvd's for micah too!! i think she's having fun =)



i need to get the suitcases out today and start putting in the things, non-clothing wise that are going with us, then come the weekend, all clothes are being packed!! i think we are leaving tuesday night to go down to london, as long as we can find a place to stay (we know a few people down there).
we'll go down by train i believe then wednesday morning we have to be at heathrow at 10 or earlier for a 1o'clock flight!! we fly first to iceland then on to baltimore!! we'll land 11 our time, but 6 baltimore time!! so i think we'll be a bit tired =)

interesting few days..

monday we had andy's cousin carys come over for the afternoon. we haven't seen her in ages, so it was great to see her. her family is in wales, but she is studying here in birmingham so doesn't live to far away!!
andy's mum and dad fly out monday evening, so come tuesday i was back on my own again! well, that morning as i was in the normal morning mode, having a cup of tea and thinking about what needs to be done... the double buggy was folded up but just laying on the kitchen floor (of all places) and as i leaped over it to go back to the lounge, my pant (trouser) leg got caught and instead of catching myself as i have done many times, i took a nice fall!! now i haven't fallen in ages, atleast not where i've skinned my knee!! yep. first my hand (thumb) hit the radiator, then i landed on my knee and elbow i think! well thats where the bruises are anyway!! so i have a sore left thumb, a grazed and bruised, somewhat swollen right knee and i tiny graze and bruised right elbow!!
and i woke up this morning feeling all sore...i wonder why!!!
so yesterday late morning we were at the doctors office for noah to wiegh-in and to get his second injections. we are a month behind with them as they at the doctors office messed us all around with our first appointments and we just had to wait a month. so yesterday as i was waiting, waiting, waiting to see the nurse, i finally went up to the receptionist to ask the time and about noah's appt. and she says that we are not on the list. exscuse me?? she looked and looked, but no, noah's name wasn't anywhere. i said look, i have the little slip of paper telling me oct 3 at 11:45 and i have been here since 10;30, first to baby clinic then waiting around here. finally she just went and talked to the nurses and they had some time--duh, so we could go back and get the shots done! what a bother!
now we get to do it at the end of the month on halloween again! and then again after that as they have started a new vaccine for the newborns and noah's 1st one was just a few days before they started it...of course! so we have to have one extra to make up the difference! whatever it is!

i'm tired...

i am way too tired to be writing, but wanted to get this up before i am another day behind! these are from tuesday night. micah loves it when noah goes his johnny jump up as amanda called it. he'll bounce with him, swing him and laugh with him!


well tonight i mean tuesday night, andy put micah's bike under noah and micah thought that that was the coolest thing!

warwick castle

saturday, after a liesurely(sp?) morning (except for andy and his dad going out and doing some more tracting), we drove down to warwick to have a walk around. we first walked through some of the shops, then mosied(is that a word??) down to the castle and walked past it! its so much money now!! 15 almost 16 pounds!!!

we walked down this street, which i loved! those houses are gorgeous with the black trim! this was just after a sudden downpour and the sun came out! it was awesome with the sun shinning only at certain points! the people that live here are so lucky as they can look out their upstairs windows and see the castle!! that would be so awesome! warwick castle is probably my favourite castle that i have been to here in england! there are still a few more i want to visit...until then! since warwick is so close to home, this is where we bring all our visitors!!
